What is greater, -(-9) or 9?

      It can be easily understood that both are equal.

      Because if you multiply a negative number with another negative number, you get a positive number.

      Here,

      -(-9) = -1×-9 = 9

      Hence, proved.

      Note:

      Negative× Negative= Positive

      Positive× Positive= Positive

      Positive× Negative= Negative

      Negative× Positive= Negative
