Gender discrimination mostly prevails in the rural areas of Bangladesh where the people are illiterate, poor and helpless. In Bangladesh, men usually dominate the society and make decisions in the family matters. The poverty, illiteracy rapid growth of population etc are actively working as the main barriers. To bring in gender equality, we all should come forward to make people aware of the equal status of women. Especially, ensuring female education, raising mass awareness, avoiding social dogmas etc are very effective measures to get rid of this social stigma.
